Based in the Western Suburbs, our company provides mechanical support/services to a variety of industries such as: Container Handling and Port Facilities.


To be successful in these roles you should posses the following:

  • Experience in Heavy Forklifts & Container Handling Equipment
  • Mechanical Trade Certificate
  • Current driving Licence
  • Servicing & diagnostic experience
  • Solid understanding of electrics & hydraulics
  • Strong commitment towards safe work practices 
  • Good written & verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to participate in rotating in an on call roster 
  • Forklift Licence 
  • EWP Licence 
  • MSIC card

Based in the Western Suburbs, our workshop currently services and repairs all makes and models of trucks, prime movers, trailers and sideloaders. 


To be successful in these roles you should posses the following:


  • Mechanical Trade Certificate
  • Current driving Licence
  • Servicing & diagnostic experience
  • Buildable understanding of electrics & hydraulics
  • Strong commitment towards safe work practices 
  • Good written & verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to participate in rotating in an on call roster 
  • Forklift Licence

International Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Victorian Mechanical Services in Melbourne, Australia, is looking to hire qualified Diesel Mechanics to join our team!

Located close to Melbourne City Centre, Intermodal terminals, and the Port of Melbourne, we have consistent work available for those who are willing to make the move.

Our workload currently consists of the maintenance, service & repair of container handling equipment, big forks & little forks, some plant equipment, as well as truck & trailer servicing & repairs.

Opportunities are available in both field service and workshop-based roles.


Skills and attributes required:

  • Qualification and Certificates relevant to the industry
  • Experience in Heavy Forklifts & Container Handling Equipment or similar industries
  • Current driving licence
  • HR license preferred or higher (HC license desirable)
  • Servicing & diagnostic experience
  • Solid understanding of electrics & hydraulics including basic auto electrical knowledge
  • Knowledge with most Japanese, Euro and American Trucks
  • Trailer mechanical knowledge, eg. Brakes, bearings & all suspension for all makes and models of trailer
  • Flexibility to participate in rotating in an on-call roster
  • Strong commitment towards safe work practices
  • Good written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
